New Principal - Simon Moreton

Superintendent Brian Andjelic would like to announce that Simon Moreton has accepted the position of Principal at Foremost School.

Simon has a diverse teaching and school leadership background having worked in a variety of unique communities including, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Dalian, China, Nunavut, Quebec, and most recently Frontier Mosakahiken School in northern Manitoba.  Moreton holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, a Masters of Educational Technology from UBC and is currently working on his postgraduate certificate of Educational Leadership from McGill University.

“I am very excited to be the new principal of Foremost School,” says Moreton.  “I believe that school is a place where everyone learns; students, teachers, parents and administrators.  By incorporating the community into school and the school into community, we are able to provide the support and encouragement for our students to strive to reach higher goals in academics, sports and in life.”

“Throughout his career Simon has worked in many small communities, which makes him a wonderful fit for Foremost School,” says Superintendent Brian Andjelic.  “We are very pleased to welcome him to the Prairie Rose School Division team.”

Simon Moreton will officially assume the role of principal on July 1, 2017.
